McGees catered our wedding and the food was AMAZING. I've been to quite a few weddings and have never been super impressed with the food. I can't tell you strongly enough how thrilled I was to have SO many people compliment us on how wonderful the food was and to see many going back for seconds. What a treat- the barbecued tri tip was delectable and the vegetable were fresh and seasoned perfectly. Charlotte and the McGees staff were friendly, attentive and super professional. They were an invaluable addition to our wedding and I am so very thankful. On top of all this, McGees is AFFORDABLE and there are no hidden fees in their straight-forward pricing. My husband and I were so happy with McGees Catering! The food was AWESOME and Charlotte was absolutely wonderful to work with. We had passed apps for cocktail hour and buffet with an on-site BBQ for the reception -- ribs, tri-tip, chicken with roasted red pepper sauce, rice, Caesar salad (dressing with anchovies - loved it!!), mixed greens salad, sourdough, and cornbread. Can't speak highly enough about the quality and amazing flavor of the food. We walked away from our tasting so excited about the wedding! Value for cost is unmatched. We got 5 quotes from various area caterers, and McGees far and away gave us the most for our money. In addition, McGees includes many things in the cost that other caterers do not – dishes, silverware, champagne flutes, water goblets, etc. For additional items not included (wine glasses, for example) McGees offers very competitive pricing. Charlotte was very flexible with our requests. She incorporated my favorite BBQ sauce for the ribs, put the honey butter for the cornbread in little jars I provided (to match with the wedding theme), and provided silverware in advance of the wedding so we could prep the place settings. Charlotte added additional servers and bartenders to our contract as requested, and at very reasonable prices. The servers even moved our chairs from the ceremony site to the reception site and helped set up the tables! The entire McGees team was very professional and really helped our wedding come together! Charlotte (and her business partner dad) are absolutely amazing. Very willing to meet with us for a couple different tastings and a venue meeting. We had a destination wedding of sorts and she was always very flexible to arrange a time within our windows of being in town. She has a very large menu of options and also willing to creative a custom menu as well. Very organized and the food was amazing...great central coast bbq and pulled pork sandwiches! All of our guest LOVED the food and appetizers. The most amazing part is that Charlotte had her 2nd baby 2 days before our wedding, but she was actually there for parts of it.:) Not that it mattered because the whole operation ran like a well oiled machine, but it was nice to see someone that committed to their business. I would recommend McGee's again in heartbeat...they were wonderful!
