Always the Best Photography, Video and DJ

Jim (the DJ) and Martin (the photographer) were amazing throughout the entire process. They were very friendly and always trying to work within our budget. During the day of the wedding, they were very punctual and very professional. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Now that we have seen our pictures, I can also say that Martin was amazing in capturing the great memories we had of our wedding. Thank you Jim and Martin.

I hire (and fire) people for a living, and consider myself to be very thorough when evaluating someone's professional performance. Hence, I recommend very few people. Nonetheless, I will continue to hire Always the Best as many times as possible. Jim's experience with special events, paired with his fun personality, truly made our event one to remember. He definitely went above and beyond to ensure everyone was having a good time. To this day, when people talk about our special day, the most discussed topic is the "awesomeness" of our DJ.

We had such a nice experience with Jim and his crew (Martin and Nick-photographers, Larry-videographer, and Robert Garcia-video editor). Jim was very flexible with our budget. He took a lot of time especially preparing for the reception as far as what we wanted. We got a bonus of him singing at our wedding, something which we had actually wanted but never asked for because we thought we couldn't afford it. You can tell he really enjoys deejaying. We heard comments from guests that he kept things moving along, and the dance floor was almost always full of people. (He told us his tricks to get people to dance.) Everyone was very prompt. Jim is also very knowledgeable as far as reception venues and great photography places. We highly recommend him!

This vendor provided the following services for me: RUINED MY WEDDING RECEPTION! I don't even know where to begin. He was absolutely horrible, trecherous,faulty, !@#*'ed up and unprofessional. The only part he didn't mess up was the music for the dinner portion of the reception, and that was because I provided a CD that I made myself which was labeled, "MUSIC FOR DINNER." He was so impersonal and did not follow up with anything. I would call the office and never receive a returned call. I stopped by his office and he acted uninterested in the details that I was trying to explain to him. He was completely unorganized and unprepared. He ASKED me to send (e-mail) him an outline of the reception, names of the bridal party, etc. This section also had a comments section like, what not to play or what not to say. Right before he announced the bridal party he asked for this list. WHICH WAS E-MAILED TO HIM. cause he didn't have it!! Guess where I found it? In the SENT items with a confirmation reciept. So in return he messed up my bridesmaid's name. He announced my (deceased) Mother and asked her to,"Please stand up." The paper clearly said deceased next to her name. He forgot to announce the person who gave me away. She yelled her own name while she walked out. And as if that wasn't bad enough he announced My husband and I as Mr. and Mrs. (wrong last name)! The paper clearly said the correct name to be announced. In my comment section there were very clear BOLD directions to NOT sing or kereoke, Do not play this certain type of music and no interactive dancing. ALL three DO NOTS were DONE! In the middle of him singing, my MOH pointed to the DO NOT list and he continued with his song while looking right in her face. UNPROFESSIONAL with total disregard to instructions. I wouldn't use him if his services were free. Hopefully vendors read these reviews. If so, Always (NEVER) the Best DJ, Photo and Video SUCKS!!!! My wedding was on JAN 08, 2010 so you know exactly who submitted this review.

Jim at always the best was so saavy in helping us with our wedding music and planning. He spent extra time editing my songs together and I went over the choreography for the grandballroom entrance which was not easy ....I had three different songs and he sliced them together perfectly.....so that on wedding day it was so perfect....the timing and his announcing us as Mr. and Mrs. it was magical.We met often and emailed often to make sure that we were always on the same page as to what my needs and desires were. He also has a great voice and if there is a lag in the wedding he can bring everyone together with a great song and audience participation....which really was nice at my wedding.Jim is a "good egg" and I recommend him highly. It is important to take responsibility and ask exactly for what you want and be clear and concise in communicating this. This is what I did with Jim, and we had great results. I asked for thiskind of music during dinner, this kind during dancing, and Jim was kind wnough to let my brother play his keyboard during the reception, as my brother wrote a song for us. I find so many people dont communicate their needs to vendors and end up blaming them for their own lack of communication. People are still talking about my wedding......Thanks Jim....good job!

I have not seen the video however they were very helpful, professional and the day of the event the service was great!
